The Egyptian Society of Allergy & Immunotherapy conducts the following courses through the year :

Course 1: Allergy Made Easy Training Course 

Learning Objectives: 

  1. Evaluate and understand patients suffering from conditions consistent with the allergy responses. Learn the various types of allergens, indications for testing, and interpretation of test results.
  2. Gain proficiency in the various approved allergy tests associated with various patient indications:
    1. Skin Prick & Interpretation
    2. Dermal Skin Patch Testing & Interpretation
    3. Intradermal Skin Testing & Interpretation
    4. RAST (Radioallergosorbent) Testing – Specific IgE In-Vitro Test
    5. Total Serum IgE Concentration Testing – Allergy Blood Serum Test
  3. Learn to differentiate between Food Sensitivities and Food Allergies (Ige mediated and Non-Ige mediated), Food Allergy Testing and Treatment Options:
    1. Elimination Diet
    2. Macrobiome and Celiac Blood Tests (Gut Flora and Inflammation)
  4. Understand the testing and diagnosis for asthma including biological, chemical, structural, and social relevant exposures and indications for the various tests including bronchial provocation testing.
  5. Immunotherapy options, protocols, and standardization for administering immunotherapy including build-up stage, maintenance phase, safety precautions, injection techniques, complications, and systemic reactions.
  6. Understand the administrative aspects to offering Allergy Testing and Immunotherapy procedures to safely integrate these new procedures:
    1. Protocols for various Allergy Testing
    2. Choosing an Allergy Lab for allergens and immunotherapy administration.
  7. Learn to market all or those allergy procedures you wish to incorporate within your office using specific marketing techniques to become successful in generating additional revenue streams for your medical practice.

Course 2: Asthma Basics Workshop

Learning Objectives

  • Identify characteristics and symptoms of asthma
  • Recognize asthma triggers and control strategies
  • Explain asthma medicines and devices
  • Understand the value and use of an Asthma Action Plan
  • Respond to a breathing emergency

Course 3 : Rhinosinusitis and Ocular Allergy

Learn about the pathogenesis, prevalence, diagnosis and management of rhinitis, sinusitis and hypersensitivity ocular disorders.

Topics covered include:

  • Allergy diagnostics and standardization
  • Immunotherapy
  • Diagnosis and treatment of rhinitis
  • Sinusitis and ophthalmic conditions secondary to allergy.
